It’s been a long long time since I had the pleasure of your everlovin’ company.
I’ve been a long way from home, no spare meat on my bones,
tryin’ to make it day to day.
Got a pocket full of blues, paper stuffed in my shoes,
sleepin’ with a blanket full of yesterday’s news.
I kicked my crutches and I fell on the floor,
too punch drunk get back up anymore

oo--I got a wealth of indigency
oo--ow! Lack of Luxury, Lack of Luxury,
it’s like a curse on me.
Lack of Luxury.

I got a one track mind and an eight track arm, gotta get myself on back to the farm,
gate your laughter when you see this disaster,
I was knee deep in debt, when they cut all my cards,
I had the comfort of a stranger for a while,
had to cut her loose, she was crampin’ my style,
it’s like a curse on me
Lack of Luxury - aw yeah.

my head in the clouds and my foot to the floor,
tryin’ to stay afloat and I can’t reach the shore.

oo--I got a wealth of indigency
oo--ow! Lack of Luxury, Lack of Luxury,
it’s like a curse on me.
Lack of Luxury.

Solo section

Broken down and broken hearted,
tryin’ to find the key to get my life started,
my head is poundin’ like a battering ram,
down and out, nobody gives a damn,
